We’re recruiting a Trainee Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Secondary School in Doncaster, supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4 while completing a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

Key responsibilities
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Assist with literacy, numeracy and targeted interventions
- Support pupils with accessing the curriculum and completing classroom activities
- Help manage classroom behaviour, engagement and participation
- Encourage positive attitudes towards learning
- Support pupils’ emotional and social development
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and learning resources
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence and organisational skills
- Provide additional support to pupils who may require extra assistance with their learning
- Work closely with teachers and wider school staff to support pupil progress

Requirements
- Commitment to completing an 11-month apprenticeship
- GCSE Maths & English Grade C/4+ preferred
- A genuine interest in supporting children and young people
- Patient, reliable and enthusiastic approach
- Not currently enrolled on another government-funded course
