Sports Graduate / Teaching Assistant – Liverpool

Engage Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Sports Graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in schools across Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with a background in Sport, PE, Sports Coaching, Exercise Science or a related subject who is looking to gain valuable experience working with children and young people within an educational setting.

You will support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, using your sporting background to encourage engagement, confidence, teamwork and positive behaviour.

The Role

As a Sports Graduate / Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
• Assisting teachers within the classroom.
• Using sport and physical activity to engage and motivate pupils.
• Supporting PE lessons and extracurricular sporting activities.
• Building positive relationships with pupils.
• Encouraging teamwork, confidence and social development.
• Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN.
• Helping to promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A degree in Sport, PE, Sports Science, Sports Coaching or a related subject.
• Experience working with children or young people through coaching, volunteering, education or similar settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, enthusiastic and positive approach.
• The ability to build strong relationships with pupils.
• A genuine interest in supporting children’s education and development.
• A willingness to work with pupils with additional needs.

Previous school or SEN experience is desirable but not essential, as full support will be provided.
