Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
We are currently recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist SEND school in Bradford, working with pupils aged 11–19.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in education while gaining a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification alongside hands-on experience in school.
About the school
The school supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, with a particular focus on:
- Autism
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, gaining valuable experience in a specialist SEND environment.
The role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
- Support pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
- Help pupils develop their communication, independence and confidence
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Assist with literacy, numeracy and targeted interventions
- Support the delivery of individual learning programmes
- Follow strategies outlined in EHCPs and individual support plans
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
- Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage their engagement in learning

Requirements
- Commitment to completing an 11-month apprenticeship
- GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above preferred
- You must not currently be enrolled on another government-funded qualification
- You must be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check (full support provided)
