Pay: Up to £95 per day (depending on experience)

At Engage Education, we know that a school runs on quality support staff. We’re currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cambridge to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term, full-time basis.

About the role:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to primary-aged pupils, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.
• Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs.
• Work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Support pupils across the primary curriculum, including literacy, numeracy and wider subject areas.
• Help pupils develop their confidence, independence, resilience and positive learning behaviours.
• Provide additional support to pupils who may require targeted intervention or additional encouragement in the classroom.
• Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, helping them to feel safe, valued and confident in their learning.
• Encourage curiosity, collaboration and a love of learning.
• Assist with adapting learning resources and activities to meet the needs of individual pupils.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and wellbeing needs throughout the school day.
• Promote inclusion, safeguarding and positive behaviour at all times.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals to ensure pupils receive the appropriate support.
• Support pupils during playtimes, lunchtimes and other areas of the school day where required.
