Looking to start a career supporting children and young people with SEND while gaining a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification?
We’re working with a specialist school in Boston Spa, supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with a range of complex additional needs.
About the pupils
The school supports pupils with a variety of SEND, including:
- Autism and associated learning needs
- Hearing impairment and deafness
- Speech, language and communication needs, including the use of signs, symbols and communication devices
- Sensory needs, including pupils who may require support with sensory regulation
- Complex learning and physical needs
- Social, emotional and mental health needs, including support with emotional regulation, anxiety and confidence
As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced staff to support pupils with their learning, communication, emotional development, independence and day-to-day needs.
You don’t need to have experience across all of these areas. We’re looking for people who are patient, caring, enthusiastic and genuinely interested in developing a career within SEND education.
About the Apprenticeship
- Full-time, 5 days per week
- Gain a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE)
- Practical experience working within a specialist SEND setting
- Full training and support throughout your apprenticeship
- Clear progression opportunity onto Level 4 HLTA
