About the role

The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a primary school environment, support children’s learning and development, and build a rewarding career in education and special educational needs.

The apprenticeship will involve working within a Reception classroom, supporting children in the early years of their education, including children with additional needs.

Whether you’re looking to begin your career through a fully funded qualification or already have experience supporting children with SEND, we’d love to hear from you.

What we offer

  • Fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification for eligible apprentices
  • Specialist SEND training and development

The ideal candidate

We’re looking for individuals who are caring, patient, enthusiastic and committed to helping children reach their full potential.

Previous experience in a primary school, EYFS setting or supporting children with SEND would be beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important for apprenticeship applicants.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting children’s learning and development in the classroom
  • Assisting the class teacher with learning activities
  • Providing additional support to children with special educational needs
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, communication and social development
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

  • Have access to a laptop, tablet or computer to complete coursework
  • Have lived in the UK for the past three years, subject to apprenticeship eligibility requirements
