Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Leeds
Job Type: Full-time | Long-term / Temporary
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

Engage Education is recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Leeds, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH and learning disabilities.
🌟 What will the role involve?
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
- Supporting children to access learning and develop their independence.
- Helping manage behaviour and supporting emotional regulation.
- Encouraging communication, social skills and positive relationships.
- Working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
👀 Who are we looking for?
- Experience working with children or young people in a school, nursery, care or support work setting within the last 3 years.
- A patient, caring and proactive approach.
- Confidence supporting children with additional needs and challenging behaviours.
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
- Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.
