Engage Education is working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Burgess Hill that is looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team after October half-term.

Your degree subject doesn’t matter — whether you studied STEM, Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, Sports or another subject, your skills could be valuable in the classroom.

📚 What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside experienced teachers, you’ll support pupils across the school and gain valuable insight into life in education.

Your day could include:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Helping teachers deliver engaging lessons and activities
  • Supporting children with reading, writing and maths
  • Delivering targeted learning interventions
  • Helping pupils who need additional academic, communication or behavioural support
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and building children’s confidence
  • Preparing classroom resources and learning activities
  • Helping create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Sharing observations and feedback with teachers

No two days will be exactly the same, making this a great opportunity to develop your confidence, communication and classroom skills.
