Are you passionate about Early Years education and love helping young children take their first exciting steps into school?

Engage Education is currently working with a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Brighton that is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team as soon as possible.

This is a brilliant opportunity to become part of a school where curiosity, creativity and confidence are at the heart of learning. You’ll be working alongside an experienced Reception team to create a fun, engaging and supportive environment where every child can feel happy, confident and ready to learn.

🌈 What you’ll be doing

As part of the Reception team, you’ll play an important role in helping children settle into school life and develop their early learning skills.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting children throughout the EYFS curriculum
• Working with pupils individually and in small groups
• Supporting play-based and child-led learning
• Helping with phonics, early reading, writing and maths activities
• Encouraging children’s communication, confidence and independence
• Supporting children’s social and emotional development
• Helping create engaging learning activities and classroom displays
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team
• Creating a safe, positive and nurturing environment for all children

💛 The ideal candidate

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about working with young children
• Experienced within an Early Years, Nursery or primary school setting
• Patient, caring and naturally nurturing
• Creative and enthusiastic about play-based learning
• Confident supporting children’s learning and development
• A strong communicator and team player
• Able to build positive relationships with children and staff
• Level 2/3 TA, Early Years or Childcare qualification desirable
