Engage Education is working with a welcoming local primary school in Brighton that is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and wants to play an important role in helping pupils with additional needs develop their confidence, independence and love of learning.

🌟 About the role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils and teaching staff to provide the support they need to thrive in the classroom.

Your day could include:

• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Helping children access the curriculum and take part in lessons
• Supporting teachers with differentiated activities and targeted interventions
• Encouraging pupils to develop their confidence, independence and social skills
• Providing support for children with social, emotional and behavioural needs
• Helping create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and celebrating their progress

👩‍🏫 We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or educational setting
• Has a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Is patient, caring and adaptable
• Has a genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
• Is confident working as part of a wider teaching and support team
• Wants a role where they can make a real and lasting impact
