The Role
- Supervise classes during teacher absence
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
- Ensure pupils remain focused and engaged with their work
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide support and guidance to pupils where appropriate
- Maintain a positive, safe and productive learning environment
- Report back to teaching staff regarding pupil progress and behaviour
- Support the wider school team where required
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable
- Confident managing groups of young people
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, professional and resilient approach
- Reliable, organised and adaptable
