Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs?
We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Three Rivers area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to pupils’ learning, development and confidence.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support individual learning needs
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including communication, social and emotional needs
- Assist with learning activities and targeted interventions
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
- Support pupils in accessing the wider curriculum
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children with SEND is desirable
- A patient, nurturing and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm and resilient when dealing with challenging situations
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Reliable, proactive and willing to learn
- A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their potential
