Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity within a primary school in Watford?
We are currently recruiting dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to children’s learning and development while gaining valuable experience within a supportive school environment.
The Role
- Provide classroom support to pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Work closely with the class teacher to support learning and development
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
- Assist pupils with additional learning and SEND needs
- Support literacy, numeracy and other curriculum activities
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain an engaging classroom environment
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence and social development
- Assist with classroom preparation and day-to-day activities
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s education
- Patient, caring and enthusiastic approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Reliable, adaptable and willing to get involved
- Experience supporting children with SEND would be advantageous
