The Role

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support individual learning needs
• Support pupils with communication, social, emotional and behavioural needs
• Help deliver targeted interventions and learning activities
• Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement
• Support pupils in accessing the wider curriculum
• Help children develop confidence, independence and social skills
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and staff

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
• A patient, caring and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm and resilient when supporting pupils with additional needs
• Able to build positive relationships with children
• Reliable, proactive and adaptable
• A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
