Primary Teacher Needed for SEND School – Bexhill
Complex Needs School | Full-time | One-Year Fixed-Term Contract | ECTs Welcome
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and adaptable Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEND school in Bexhill on a full-time, one-year fixed-term contract.
The role will involve teaching both primary and secondary-aged pupils who are working at approximately primary school academic levels due to developmental delays. Pupils have a range of additional needs, including complex SEND, with many having autism. The successful candidate will be confident in adapting their teaching to meet pupils at their individual stages of learning, regardless of their chronological age.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, inclusive and appropriately differentiated lessons that support pupils to make meaningful progress academically, socially and emotionally. You will work closely with a supportive team of Teaching Assistants to create a nurturing classroom environment where every pupil feels safe, valued and encouraged to achieve their potential.
We are looking for a teacher who is patient, creative and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs. Experience in a SEND setting would be beneficial, but we also welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are enthusiastic about developing their skills within specialist education.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who wants to make a genuine difference, helping pupils develop their communication, confidence, independence and life skills through personalised learning.
