Learning Support Assistant

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Watford is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to make a genuine difference to their learning, confidence and development.
The Role
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Work closely with the class teacher to support learning and progress
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
- Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Assist with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities
- Deliver targeted interventions where appropriate
- Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
- Support with classroom preparation and day-to-day activities
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children is desirable
- Experience within a primary school would be advantageous
- A patient, caring and positive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Reliable, adaptable and proactive
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND would be beneficial
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
