With over a decade of experience building strong relationships with schools across East Sussex, we’re proud to be recruiting an Individual Needs Assistant for a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Bexhill.

We’re looking for a patient, passionate and proactive individual who is keen to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The school supports pupils across both primary and secondary phases with a range of additional needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and Global Developmental Delay (GDD).

The school is committed to helping every pupil feel supported, engaged and challenged, enabling them to develop their skills, achieve their individual goals and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

• Patient, adaptable and resilient, with a positive and flexible approach.
• Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly autism or complex needs, or enthusiastic about developing your knowledge in this area.
• Understanding of non-verbal communication and speech and language difficulties (desirable, but not essential).
• Reliable, proactive and willing to learn.
• Passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their full potential.
• Able to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Previous experience in a school setting is not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience, including support workers, carers and those with personal experience of SEND or supporting individuals with additional needs.
