A welcoming and supportive primary school in Watford is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident practitioner to take on additional responsibility and play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning.
The Role
- Delivering lessons and providing whole-class cover when required
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Leading small-group interventions to support pupil progress
- Working closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging activities
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEND
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
- Supporting the wider teaching team with classroom organisation and learning resources
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a recognised HLTA qualification or has significant relevant experience
- Previous experience working within a UK primary school
- Confident leading lessons and managing a whole class
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Flexible, proactive and able to use initiative
- Passionate about supporting children and raising pupil achievement
