About the Role

Engage Education is currently recruiting reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic School Cleaners to work within schools across Manchester.

We are looking for dedicated individuals who take pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, teachers and school staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, has a good eye for detail and enjoys working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas.
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets, washrooms and staff facilities.
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Cleaning desks, surfaces and other frequently touched areas.
• Following health and safety procedures and school cleaning standards.
• Ensuring all cleaning equipment and products are used safely.
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic and presentable school environment.

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as training may be provided.
• A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• The ability to follow instructions and health and safety procedures.
• A flexible approach to working hours.
• A commitment to safeguarding and maintaining a safe environment for children.

Successful applicants will be required to complete the relevant safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check where applicable, in line with the requirements of the school.
