Ongoing Temporary Position | Immediate Start
We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Caretaker to join a school in Hillingdon on an ongoing temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, hardworking individual with experience in school maintenance and site management.
About the Role
As a School Caretaker, you will play an important role in ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for pupils and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Opening and locking the school premises.
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
- Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe and secure.
- Monitoring heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
- Assisting with the maintenance of the school site.
- Liaising with contractors and the school facilities team.
- Reporting any health and safety concerns.
- Ensuring the school environment is well-maintained at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a school caretaker or in a similar facilities role.
- Has good maintenance and practical skills.
- Is reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Understands health and safety procedures.
- Holds a valid enhanced DBS certificate or is eligible to obtain one.
- Is available to start immediately.
