Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant or Early Years Practitioner looking for an exciting new opportunity?
We are working with Rebecca Cheetham Nursery in Newham, a welcoming and nurturing early years setting, which is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant / Practitioner to join their fantastic team ASAP!
This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a supportive nursery environment where you can make a real difference to children’s early development, confidence and learning.
Please note: Applicants MUST hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or a relevant degree recognised as full and relevant for early years.
About the role
The successful applicant will join an experienced and supportive early years team, helping to provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment for young children.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a qualified Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting children’s development during their most important early years.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities through play-based learning.
- Supporting children with communication, language, literacy and numeracy development.
- Providing individual and small-group support, including for children with SEND.
- Encouraging children’s independence, confidence and social development.
- Observing and monitoring children’s progress and supporting developmental milestones.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, nursery practitioners, parents and carers.
- Maintaining a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment.
About you
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable individual who genuinely enjoys working with young children.
Essential requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare OR a relevant degree recognised as full and relevant for early years.
- Previous experience working within an EYFS, nursery or early years setting.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- A passion for supporting young children’s learning through creative, play-based activities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, nurturing and proactive approach.
- Confidence supporting children with a range of abilities and additional needs.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, long-term position.
Experience supporting children with SEND, ASD, speech and language difficulties or additional developmental needs would be particularly beneficial.
