Engage Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Peacehaven that is looking for an enthusiastic and caring EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Nursery and Reception team from November 2026.

🌈 About the role

Working alongside the EYFS team, you’ll help create a fun, nurturing environment where children feel confident to explore, learn and develop.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting children 1:1 and in small groups
• Providing targeted support and interventions
• Supporting pupils with SEND, including children with ASC
• Helping children access engaging EYFS activities
• Supporting children’s communication, social and emotional development
• Encouraging independence and confidence through play-based learning
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team
• Helping create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

💛 What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced working with children in an educational or childcare setting
• Ideally experienced supporting children with SEN/ASC
• Confident working within the EYFS framework
• Patient, caring and naturally nurturing
• Creative and enthusiastic about engaging young learners
• Passionate about helping children reach their potential
• A strong communicator and team player

Graduates with an interest in pursuing a career in teaching are also encouraged to apply.
