Pay: Up to £115 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising students across a range of subjects, ensuring that lessons continue smoothly in the absence of the usual classroom teacher.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience working with young people who is looking to develop their career within a secondary school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain focused and engaged with their work.
- Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
- Manage behaviour effectively and confidently, following the school’s policies and expectations.
- Support students with their learning and encourage them to work independently.
- Take accurate registers and report any relevant issues to teaching or pastoral staff.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support its positive, inclusive community.
Person Specification
- Previous experience working with children or young people – essential.
- Experience within a secondary school or education setting – desirable.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Reliable, organised and adaptable.
- Able to work independently and use initiative.
- A calm, professional and positive approach.
- A genuine commitment to supporting students’ learning and development.
