Engage Education is seeking a creative, dedicated Nursery Teacher to join a thriving, well-resourced EYFS department within a welcoming primary school community in Greater Manchester.
About the Role
As the Nursery Teacher, you will lead the very beginning of our pupils’ educational journey. You will plan and deliver a rich, play-based curriculum aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework. Leading an experienced team of Early Years Teaching Assistants, you will cultivate a safe, stimulating indoor and outdoor continuous provision that fosters communication, exploration, and emotional resilience.

Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering an inclusive, child-centered curriculum that covers all seven areas of learning within the EYFS framework.
- Facilitating purposeful continuous provision and outdoor play to build early language, physical development, and social skills.
- Leading early phonics awareness, listening skills, and early number concepts.
- Assessing, tracking, and recording pupil development using Early Years progress trackers and learning journals.
- Establishing warm, collaborative partnerships with parents and carers to support smooth transitions from home to school.
Who We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS). Both experienced practitioners and ECTs are encouraged to apply.
- Expertise: Deep understanding of early child development, the EYFS framework, and continuous provision pedagogy.
- Attributes: Nurturing, creative, energetic, and highly organized with a genuine love for early childhood teaching.
- Leadership: Ability to guide and collaborate effectively with a classroom team of teaching assistants.
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Full eligibility to work in the UK with professional teaching references covering the last two years.
