Exam Invigilator | Examination Officer | Exam Support

Location: Hounslow, London

Pay: Up to £15 per hour (depending on experience)

Start Date: October 2026 / April 2027 

Contract: Part-Time / Flexible

We’ve spent over a decade building strong relationships with schools across West and South West London, and we’re now working with an Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school in Hounslow to recruit reliable and attentive Exam Invigilators to support their examinations team.

About the role:

  • Supervise students during internal and external examinations, ensuring all exams are conducted in accordance with the school’s procedures and examination regulations.
  • Ensure examination rooms are properly prepared before each examination.
  • Check students’ identities and ensure they are seated in the correct places.
  • Distribute and collect examination papers and other required materials securely and efficiently.
  • Clearly explain examination instructions and ensure students understand the rules and regulations before the examination begins.
  • Maintain a calm, quiet and controlled examination environment throughout each session.
  • Closely monitor students during examinations to ensure the integrity and security of the examination process.
  • Remain vigilant and report any suspected irregularities or incidents to the relevant member of staff.
  • Record attendance and complete any required examination documentation accurately.
  • Escort students where required and support the smooth running of examination sessions.
  • Assist with the organisation and secure handling of examination materials before and after each session.
  • Support students who require reasonable adjustments or additional arrangements, in line with school procedures.
  • Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety and examination regulations at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the school’s examinations and pastoral teams to ensure examinations run smoothly.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual and highly attentive, with the confidence to supervise groups of students and maintain a calm and focused environment. Previous experience working in a school or examination setting is desirable but not essential, as full guidance and training will be provided.
