A welcoming and supportive primary school in Croydon is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys working across different year groups and can provide high-quality classroom support, interventions and whole-class cover when required.

The Role

• Provide support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Deliver whole-class cover during teacher absence and PPA time
• Lead small-group and targeted intervention sessions
• Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
• Work closely with teachers to support planning, assessment and pupil progress
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain an engaging learning environment
• Support literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning

The Ideal Candidate

• Hold an HLTA qualification or have significant experience working at HLTA level
• Previous experience within a UK primary school
• Confident leading lessons and managing a whole class
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Experience delivering interventions and supporting pupil progress
• Patient, organised and adaptable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND would be advantageous
