Lucas Blackwell
Hello, I’m Lucas! I’m the SEND consultant working for the Leeds area here at Engage.
Before joining Engage, I worked as a primary teacher in the Wakefield area. My short career in education shaped the person that I am today and I want to continue using my experience and knowledge to help as many people as possible into the most important job in the world. I decided to join the SEND team specifically as I have a background in working with children with complex needs and have a MA degree in Inclusive Education. Ensuring that all children have an equal opportunity to achieve their potential is something I remain very passionate about.
Outside of work, I am a huge music fan. I am a big advocate for the local music scene in Leeds. I spend most of my spare time at gigs around the city and telling people that Yard Act are the best band in the world.
