Contract: Full-time – 1 Term

Salary: MPS / UPS (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Watford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed practitioner who is enthusiastic about early learning and helping children build strong foundations at the start of Key Stage 1.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging, creative lessons and supporting pupils through the important transition from EYFS into KS1.

The Role

• Full class teacher responsibility for a Year 1 class

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum

• Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development

• Assessing, tracking and reporting on pupil progress

• Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience teaching in EYFS or Key Stage 1

• Understand the importance of phonics and early reading development

• Have high expectations for behaviour and achievement

• Be enthusiastic, organised and committed to continuous improvement
