Your role:

• Collaborate with the class teacher to complement their lesson delivery, providing well-structured, caring support for pupils who may have severe learning difficulties
• Make the difference to pupils’ lives by assisting in the delivery of work programmes with individual pupils or small groups outside of the classroom
• Take responsibility in securing pupils’ physical, emotional wellbeing, whilst raising their self-esteem and encouraging independence 
• Manage classroom disruption by maintaining a calm classroom climate
• Forge lasting relationships with staff and pupils to ensure that every pupil receives the best possible support that allows children to meet their full potential.

The successful candidate:

• Will have demonstrable experience of supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and have a desire to make a lasting impact on their lives.
• Will be able to relate well to staff and students and foster strong, communicative relationships.
• Will bring a warm smile every day and have an outgoing, and nurturing personality.
