The Role:

  • Providing one to one and small group pastoral and behavioural support to pupils across primary and secondary age ranges

  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, therapists, and external professionals to support individual plans

  • Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience, and positive coping strategies

  • Supporting reintegration into learning when pupils are ready

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience working with children or young people with diverse or additional needs, including SEMH and SEND

  • Is patient, empathetic, and able to remain calm in challenging situations

  • Understands the importance of consistency, boundaries, and positive relationships

  • Has experience in education, youth work, care, mentoring, or pastoral roles

  • Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice

What Is Offered:

  • A long term role within a supportive and specialist environment

  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference to pupils with complex needs

  • Ongoing support and guidance throughout the placement

If you are passionate about supporting children and young people with diverse needs and are looking for a long term role in Bexley, this opportunity could be an excellent next step.
