Teaching Assistant Job Description

Duties:

– Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities

– Provide one-on-one support and mentoring to students

– Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members

– Assist with classroom management and behaviour support

– Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment

– Provide tutoring and additional support to students who may need it

– Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students

– Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and development

– Assist with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

– Previous experience working with students, preferably in an educational setting

– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

– Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues

– Knowledge of effective teaching strategies and techniques

– Understanding of special education needs, including experience working with students on the autism spectrum (preferred)

– Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed

Salary: £75.00-£90.00 per day

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

• Wokingham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

• Bachelor's (preferred)
