A primary school in Hackney is seeking committed and experienced individuals to join its team as Teaching Assistant Apprentices on a Level 3 or Level 4 SEND Pathway. This 12 month apprenticeship programme is designed for candidates who already have experience working in a school setting and who are looking to develop their skills and knowledge within a supportive and inclusive primary environment.
Successful candidates will work closely with class teachers, SEND professionals and senior leaders to support pupils with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about inclusion and are seeking a clear progression route within education.
The role will include:
Supporting pupils with SEND through one to one and small group interventions
Assisting with the delivery of learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
Implementing behaviour and support strategies to promote positive engagement
Contributing to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
Working collaboratively with school staff, families and external professionals
We are looking for candidates who:
Have prior experience working in a school or educational setting
Demonstrate a strong interest in SEND and inclusive practice
Are reliable, reflective and committed to professional development
Can commit to a 12 month apprenticeship programme
This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while building on existing school-based experience in Hackney and neighbouring boroughs.
