Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Our school in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, is committed to providing exceptional education and care for our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) students. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team and contribute to the success of our young learners.

Job Description: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and learning of our youngest pupils. You will work closely with the EYFS Teacher to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Supporting children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to children.
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Observing and recording children’s progress.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting children’s development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive, positive, and flexible approach to work.
  • An understanding of the EYFS framework.

Pay: £80.00-£90.00 per day
