Teaching Assistant Required for Primary School in Crawley

Engage Education are currently working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Crawley who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and making a positive impact in the classroom. The role is to start as soon as possible.

The school has a friendly and inclusive environment, with a strong focus on supporting both staff and pupils. This position would suit someone looking to develop their experience in education or continue their career as a Teaching Assistant.

About the role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils across the classroom, working alongside the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and provide additional support where needed. This may include working with small groups or providing one-to-one support for pupils.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils with their learning and development

Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities

Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

Supporting children with additional needs where required

Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff

Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available depending on the needs of the school.

About you

Experience working with children (in a school or similar setting) is desirable but not essential

A positive, patient, and proactive attitude

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Confidence supporting pupils in a classroom environment

A genuine interest in working within education
