SEN Teaching Assistant – Newham

Pay: £85 – £95 per day

Contract: Daily supply work – flexible working pattern

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our books as supply Teaching Assistants and support local schools with staff absence. We can also offer full time long term work for those looking, however, welcome applications from university students, actors or anyone with a strong background in SEND either in their career or personal life who can offer short term or daily contingency cover.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing personal care support to SEND children in mainstream school settings such as helping with toileting, nappy changing and feeding

• Supporting children with Autism and complex needs on a 1:1 or in small group basis

• Assisting teachers with differentiated learning activities and interventions

• Helping create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive

• Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs as part of a structured SEN programme

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with severe SEN needs in a school or other settings

• Ability to work with non-verbal children and confidence in using visual communication tools

• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential

• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
