Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, SEND Support Worker or Behaviour Support Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role? We are recruiting a nurturing and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support within a specialist school in Calderdale. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured, therapeutic environment.

Initial Contract: Supply basis
Future: 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity
Location: Calderdale
Hours: Full-time, term-time only
The Role
You will be supporting a primary-aged pupil with:
Complex needs
Communication and interaction delays
Social and emotional needs
A requirement for constant nurture, reassurance and guidance
The school caters for children who can present with challenging behaviour at times therefore resilience, empathy and a calm approach are essential- however, they are described by staff as a lovely young person who responds extremely well to positive relationships and consistent care.
This role would suit someone who thrives in a therapeutic, relationship-focused environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience supporting children with SEND, SEMH or complex needs
Strong behaviour support and de-escalation skills
A nurturing, patient and emotionally intelligent approach
Confidence working on a 1:1 basis
Ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable pupils
PRICE Trained or similar training (desirable but not essential)
