History Teacher Required – Independent School in Richmond

Are you an experienced teacher with a strong knowledge of History looking for a rewarding short-term role in a high-quality independent school?

We are working with a well-established independent school in Richmond to recruit a teacher to cover History from 9th March until 2nd July. The school caters for pupils aged 3–13 and has around 450 pupils on roll.

This role would suit either:

• A secondary History specialist, or

• A primary teacher with a strong background or specialism in History

About the role

• Teaching History across a broad age range (predominantly upper primary and early secondary level)

• Full-time position from 9th March to 2nd July

• Working in a well-resourced, supportive independent school environment

• Small class sizes and excellent pupil behaviour

• Collaborative staff team with high academic expectations

About you

• QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)

• Strong subject knowledge in History

• Experience teaching History at primary or secondary level

• Confident adapting teaching for pupils aged 9–13

• A positive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for education
