History Teacher Required – Independent School in Richmond
Are you an experienced teacher with a strong knowledge of History looking for a rewarding short-term role in a high-quality independent school?
We are working with a well-established independent school in Richmond to recruit a teacher to cover History from 9th March until 2nd July. The school caters for pupils aged 3–13 and has around 450 pupils on roll.
This role would suit either:
A secondary History specialist, or
A primary teacher with a strong background or specialism in History
About the role
Teaching History across a broad age range (predominantly upper primary and early secondary level)
Full-time position from 9th March to 2nd July
Working in a well-resourced, supportive independent school environment
Small class sizes and excellent pupil behaviour
Collaborative staff team with high academic expectations
About you
QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
Strong subject knowledge in History
Experience teaching History at primary or secondary level
Confident adapting teaching for pupils aged 9–13
A positive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for education
