Supply Teacher – KS1 or KS2 – Haywards Heath

Engage Education are currently seeking adaptable and enthusiastic Supply Teachers to work across a range of supportive and well-regarded primary schools in Haywards Heath. We are looking for confident practitioners who are comfortable teaching in either KS1 or KS2 and are interested in flexible work opportunities.

This role is ideal for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers who are looking to gain varied classroom experience, enjoy flexible working arrangements, or achieve a healthier work-life balance.

About the role

As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in line with the school’s existing planning and policies. Opportunities can range from day-to-day cover to longer-term placements, depending on your availability and the needs of local schools.

Your duties will include:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons across KS1 or KS2

• Establishing a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment

• Managing behaviour in accordance with school policies

• Monitoring pupil understanding and providing feedback where appropriate

• Supporting children’s academic progress and personal development

• Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff

Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

About you

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching within KS1 or KS2

• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities

• Flexible and confident when adapting to new school environments

• Committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential
