SEND Support Assistant – Secondary Resourced Provision (WF7)

Role: Full-time Mon-Fri, long-term until Summer 26

Pay: £90- £100 per day

Hours: 8 am – 2:45 pm

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school in WF7 seeking a full-time Supply SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist Resourced Provision supporting students with:

Autism

SEMH needs

Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)

This is a long-term agency role until Summer, ideal for candidates with SEND, behaviour or inclusion experience.

The Role

Support students in the resourced provision and mainstream lessons

Help students settle, engage and regulate throughout the school day

Follow individual support strategies and promote independence

Support behaviour positively and consistently

Build strong relationships while maintaining clear expectations

Assist with interventions and structured routines

The role follows established Specialist Support Assistant expectations including calm routines, positive reinforcement, safeguarding awareness and relational support with SEND learners

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

✔ Has experience with SEND, SEMH or Autism (school experience desirable)
✔ Is calm, resilient and consistent
✔ Can build positive relationships with young people
✔ Is confident supporting behaviour and engagement
✔ Works well as part of a team
