SEN Tutor

Engage Education are currently supporting a school in the Leeds area who are looking for a full time tutor to support some of their students who are not attending full time education.

This role will be based within the students homes and therefore you would need access to your own vehicle to drive between sessions.

You would need to be able to plan and deliver short sessions.

Your Role:

• Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis
• Delivering lessons online
• Providing feedback to teachers and parents and other stakeholders
• You will be assisting pupils with Complex Communication and Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties and other Learning Disabilities

What you will need:

• A range of behaviour management techniques
• To have worked with learners with a range of needs
• The ability to engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
• To be able to commit to working with young people for a period of time to ensure consistency of learning
• A resilient attitude
