Teaching Assistant in Waltham Forest, South East London

£80 – £95 per day

Full time, long term role (or part time available for those happy to do daily supply)

We’ve spent over a decade building strong relationships with schools in Waltham Forest and we’re now looking to increase our pool of SEN Teaching Assistants we can offer to these great schools. We have a variety of Teaching Assistant positions available, to start immediately.

The students have the following learning needs:

• Autism
• Mental Health difficulties
• ADHD

Responsibilities:

– Provide support and assistance to the lead teacher in a toddler care setting

– Assist with the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and activities

– Supervise and engage with children during playtime and learning activities

– Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment

– Assist with mealtime routines, including feeding and diaper changing

– Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities

– Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a positive and nurturing learning environment

Requirements:

– Previous experience working with toddlers or in a childcare setting is preferred

– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

– Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from the lead teacher

– Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
