Location:SEMH School in Reading
Are you a passionate and experienced English Teacher with a commitment to supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Our Primary SEMH School is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our team. If you have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience with SEMH and other challenging behaviors, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and tailored English lessons to students with SEMH and other complex needs.
- Implement therapeutic and holistic approaches to support students’ learning and emotional well-being.
- Develop and adapt teaching materials to meet individual student needs and promote positive behavior.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and implementing strategies for improvement.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs and challenging behavior.
- Strong background in therapeutic and holistic educational approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
