Psychology Graduate TA

We are looking for a complex needs Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND school. Our client caters to students aged 4-19 with severe and complex needs and those with a dual diagnosis of Autism.

Engage Education has an established SEND team that has worked with Special Schools across London. We have been working with SEN Schools in South West London, seeking full-time and supply staff.

The Role:

• SEN Teaching Assistant/Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
• Either 1:1 supporting a specific child, or working with small groups
• Following the guidance from the SEND Teacher in order to teach and support the pupils, as well as following the lead of the other support staff.
• Providing positive reinforcements and praise for students.
• The role involves a lot of practical and holistic based work, so being flexible and adaptable is key.
• Teaching and supporting pupils with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, medical needs, complex needs, and physical disabilities.

Job Specifications:

• School hours are 8.30am to 3.30/4pm (term time only)
• Prior experience supporting students with speech and language difficulties, Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Disabilities
• Full-time temporary position or flexible daily supply work
• Daily rates are from £70 – £90 per day depending on experience
• Excellent leadership team
• Personal care is essential – so you must be prepared to assist with this
