Primary Supply Teacher – KS1 or KS2 – Burgess Hill

Engage Education are currently recruiting Primary Supply Teachers to work across a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools. We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable teachers who are confident teaching either KS1 or KS2 and are happy to work on a flexible basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking for flexible work, varied classroom experience, or a better work-life balance.

About the role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS1 or KS2, following the school’s planning and policies. Roles can range from day-to-day cover to longer-term placements, depending on your availability and preference.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS1 or KS2

• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Managing behaviour in line with school policies

• Assessing pupil understanding and providing feedback where required

• Working collaboratively with school staff to support pupil progress

We can offer full-time or part-time opportunities, depending on school needs and your availability.

About you

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching within KS1 or KS2

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Flexible, reliable, and confident adapting to new school environments

• A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
