Type: Full-Time (Temporary with Permanent option)
Working Hours; 08:30 am – 16:00 pm.
Salary: M1 – UPS1, Paid to Teacher Scale

Role and Responsibilities:
As a Special Needs Nurture Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and emotional development of our students. Your key responsibilities will include:

Individualised Support: Develop and implement tailored educational plans to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of challenge and support.

Classroom Management: Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and emotional growth.

Curriculum Development: Adapt and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and cater to the diverse learning styles of students with special needs.

Behavioral Support: Implement strategies to manage and support students with behavioral challenges, promoting positive behavior and social interactions.

Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive support for students.

Parent and Guardian Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education and nurture teaching.

School Activities: Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and staff meetings, contributing to the school community’s overall well-being.
What We Are Looking For:

Qualifications: A degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field. A teaching certification in special education is preferred.

Experience: Previous experience working with students with Autism, SEMH, and complex needs. Experience in a special needs school setting is highly desirable.

Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Knowledge: Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs).
