Engage Education are currently working with a specialist provision based in Carshalton who are requiring someone who has a background in delivering life skills.

This provision caters for young people who have social, emotional and mental health issues and often they can show challenging behaviours and so you will need to use a range of behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.

You will be required to deliver life skills to groups of students aged between 16-25.

The Role:

Delivering life skills to students with a range of needs

Be able to adapt to the needs of the child in lessons and assist them in their school day

Promote positive behaviour and encourage the children to stay on task

Clarifying and explaining any questions or instructions given to the pupil 

Requirements:

Experience working with people with learning difficulties

Experience in a SEN education setting is ideal

Team Teach training is desirable but is something that Engage can provide you with

Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to take one out
