Learning Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work across multiple college campuses located in the boroughs of Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich and Lambeth, as well as sites in Kent.

This is a permanent opportunity to join a supportive and forward thinking Further Education environment, working with young people and adults to help them achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide in-class support to students with additional learning needs, including SEND.

• Support students with literacy, numeracy and vocational learning.

• Assist learners with EHCPs or identified support needs to access the curriculum.

• Promote independence, confidence and positive engagement in learning.

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams to deliver tailored interventions.

• Maintain professional boundaries and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience supporting young people or adults in an educational or training setting.

• Knowledge or experience of working with SEND, including ASD, ADHD or SEMH needs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience, resilience and the ability to build positive relationships.

• A proactive and flexible approach, as travel between campuses may be required.
