Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Needed for Year 3 Class – Mitcham

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant primary school in Mitcham. This full-time position will be based in a Year 3 class, offering an exciting opportunity to support pupils in achieving their best within an inclusive and nurturing environment.

About the Role:
As a HLTA in a Year 3 classroom, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and provide support to pupils under the direction of the class teacher.
• Lead small group interventions to help close learning gaps and support pupil progress.
• Assist in managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure every child’s needs are met.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

• A qualified HLTA (or hold an equivalent Level 4 teaching assistant qualification).
• Experienced in supporting learning, particularly in Key Stage 2.

• Skilled in classroom management and fostering positive relationships with pupils.
• Dedicated to supporting children’s learning, development, and well-being.
