Design Technology Teacher – Lewes

Are you an experienced Design Technology (Resistant Materials) teacher with QTS who is seeking a full-time role from October 2023. This role working in an exciting school in Lewes might be just right for you! 

About the role

We are working with the school to recruit a teacher who can commit to the position for the rest of the academic year, teaching both KS3 and KS4. This is a long-term position starting in September 2023.

The school is very forward thinking and focused on providing excellent outcomes for all students, and all members of staff are expected to strive for excellence in everything they do. The students consistently attain high standards and their behaviour in lessons and around the school is good. They encourage students to be independent and respectful individuals and require a DT teacher who can teach young people the skills and abilities to engage with design and the modern world.

The school is known as a strong training school and with a solid reputation and induction programme. The staff focus on working together as a team to reduce workload whilst optimising impact. It’s easily accessible by public transport and only a short train journey from Brighton and Hove.

About you

• QTS with a Design Technology specialism
• Experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4 in a secondary school
• Proven background of high pupil progress
• A real desire to make a positive difference to the pupils you work with
