Criminology Graduate – For a mainstream primary school in East Leeds

Are you a recent CriminologyGraduate with a second-class degree or higher?

Would you like to gain further exposure of working within a school setting as you work towards your career goals?

We’re currently looking to appoint a CriminologyGraduate to work in a Primary School in East Leeds. This is a long term, full time position with the potential of a permanent position for the right candidate. Ideally the successful person will be able to start as soon as possible, however we also have vacancies that will commence in September.

The successful CriminologyGraduate will be supporting with key pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2 on a 1:1 basis, as well as providing general classroom support and delivering interventions. The school have a dedicated senior leadership team who are passionate about supporting and developing their staff team.

The children you would be supporting on a 1:1 basis have additional needs such as;

• Challenging behaviours for example; verbally and physically aggressive
• Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH)
• Disruptive in the classroom due to dysregulation
• At risk of being permanently excluded from their mainstream education

The ideal applicant will have:

• A recent Criminology degree
• A real passion for education and improving the attainment of pupils
• Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils
• Have a patient and nurturing approach in the classroom
